Wendy Pearlman (Northwestern University) will visit Edinburgh on 19 March to discuss her book project, We crossed a bridge and it trembled. The book is a collection of first-hand testimonials that chronicles the Syrian rebellion, war, and refugee ‘crisis’, based on interviews with several hundred Syrians who have fled the carnage in their country for other parts of the Middle East or Europe. The book has received a fantastic reception and rave reviews in publications like the New York Times.

Joining Wendy to discuss the book will be Ann-Christin Wagner (International Development, University of Edinburgh) and Esa Aldegheri  (Edinburgh City of Sanctuary), with others TBC.
